LOC - LINES OF CONFLICTS

LINES OF CONFLICTS is a show organized by the collective ...On The Same Page, where a team of 19 artists from across the country of varied backgrounds have come together to display their artists' books, all on the singular theme of "conflicts".

As an integral part of nature, conflicts can arise either inherently or artificially across blurred lines, some that are visible, some felt or hidden in plain sight. Though inevitable, many a conflict has been created through the lines of demarcations across societies that are divided by needs, wants, beliefs, ideologies and identities. 

At its core, the exhibition challenges the notion of separation by highlighting the contradictions deep-rooted in every line. Each piece in the collection serves as a narrative thread, mapping historical tensions, emotional ruptures, and the ever-shifting territories of power. The artworks provoke a reflective dialogue about how these divisions have not only fractured communities but also, inadvertently, defined our collective identities.

By probing into the multitude of forces that create conflicts, this show engages the audience to acknowledge and confront the discomforts of reality, ponder, reflect and ultimately redefine and redraw the lines of perception within and around us.

While often viewed negatively, conflict can also be a catalyst for change, prompting dialogue, innovation, and social transformation when managed constructively.

...ಆನ್ ದಿ ಸೇಮ್ ಪೇಜ್‌ ಸಮೂಹದ ಕಲಾವಿದರಿ0ದ ಆಯೋಜಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಒಂದು  ಕಲಾ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನವಾಗಿದೆ. ಇಲ್ಲಿ ದೇಶಾದ್ಯಂತದ ವಿವಿಧ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಗಳ 19 ಕಲಾವಿದರ ತಂಡವು "ಸಂಘರ್ಷಗಳು" ಎಂಬ ಏಕೈಕ ವಿಷಯದ ಮೇಲೆ ತಮ್ಮ ‘ಕಲಾವಿದರ ಪುಸ್ತಕ’ಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರದರ್ಶಿಸಲು ಒಟ್ಟಾಗಿ ಬಂದಿದೆ.

ಪ್ರಕೃತಿಯ ಅವಿಭಾಜ್ಯ ಅಂಗವಾಗಿ, ಸಂಘರ್ಷಗಳು ಮಸುಕಾದ ರೇಖೆಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ಅಂತರ್ಗತವಾಗಿ ಅಥವಾ ಕೃತಕವಾಗಿ ಉದ್ಭವಿಸಬಹುದು; ಕೆಲವು ಗೋಚರಿಸುತ್ತವೆ, ಕೆಲವು ಸರಳ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅನುಭವಿಸಲ್ಪಡುತ್ತವೆ ಅಥವಾ ಮರೆಮಾಡಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿವೆ. ಅನಿವಾರ್ಯವಾಗಿದ್ದರೂ, ಅಗತ್ಯಗಳು, ಬಯಕೆಗಳು, ನಂಬಿಕೆಗಳು, ಸಿದ್ಧಾಂತಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಗುರುತುಗಳಿಂದ ವಿಂಗಡಿಸಲಾದ ಸಮಾಜಗಳಾದ್ಯಂತ ಗಡಿರೇಖೆಗಳ  ಮೂಲಕ ಅನೇಕ ಸಂಘರ್ಷಗಳನ್ನು ರಚಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. 

ಅನಿವಾರ್ಯವಾಗಿದ್ದರೂ, ಸಮಾಜಗಳನ್ನು ವಿ0ಗಡಿಸುವ ಗಡಿರೇಖೆಗಳಾದ ಬಯಕೆಗಳು,ಅಗತ್ಯಗಳು, ನಂಬಿಕೆಗಳು, ಸಿದ್ಧಾಂತಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಗುರುತುಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ಅನೇಕ ಸಂಘರ್ಷಗಳು ರಚಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿವೆ. 

ಅದರ ಮೂಲದಲ್ಲಿ, ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನವು ಪ್ರತಿ ಸಾಲಿನಲ್ಲೂ ಆಳವಾಗಿ ಬೇರೂರಿರುವ ವಿರೋಧಾಭಾಸಗಳನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಿ ತೋರಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಪ್ರತ್ಯೇಕತೆಯ ಕಲ್ಪನೆಯತ್ತ ಸವಾಲು ಮಾಡುತ್ತದೆ. ಸಂಗ್ರಹದಲ್ಲಿನ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ತುಣುಕು ನಿರೂಪಣಾ ಎಳೆಯಾಗಿ ಕಾರ್ಯನಿರ್ವಹಿಸುತ್ತದೆ, ಐತಿಹಾಸಿಕ ಉದ್ವಿಗ್ನತೆಗಳು, ಭಾವನಾತ್ಮಕ ಛಿದ್ರಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ನಿರಂತರವಾಗಿ ಬದಲಾಗುತ್ತಿರುವ ಅಧಿಕಾರದ ಪ್ರದೇಶಗಳನ್ನು ನಕ್ಷೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತದೆ. ಈ ವಿಭಾಗಗಳು ಸಮುದಾಯಗಳನ್ನು ಹೇಗೆ ಛಿದ್ರಗೊಳಿಸಿವೆ ಎಂಬುದರ ಕುರಿತು ಪ್ರತಿಫಲಿತ ಸಂವಾದವನ್ನು ಕಲಾಕೃತಿಗಳು ಪ್ರಚೋದಿಸುತ್ತವೆ, ಆದರೆ ಅಜಾಗರೂಕತೆಯಿಂದ ನಮ್ಮ ಸಾಮೂಹಿಕ ಗುರುತುಗಳನ್ನು ಸಹ ವ್ಯಾಖ್ಯಾನಿಸಿವೆ.

ಸಂಘರ್ಷಗಳನ್ನು ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಸುವ ಬಹುಸಂಖ್ಯೆಯ ಶಕ್ತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಪರಿಶೀಲಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ, ಈ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನವು ಪ್ರೇಕ್ಷಕರನ್ನು ವಾಸ್ತವದ ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥತೆಗಳನ್ನು ಒಪ್ಪಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದಲ್ಲದೆ ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಎದುರಿಸಲು, ಚಿಂತಿಸಲು, ಪ್ರತಿಬಿಂಬಿಸಲು ಮತ್ತು ಅಂತಿಮವಾಗಿ ನಮ್ಮೊಳಗೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸುತ್ತಮುತ್ತಲಿನ ಗ್ರಹಿಕೆಯ ರೇಖೆಗಳನ್ನು ಮರು ವ್ಯಾಖ್ಯಾನಿಸಲು ಮತ್ತು ಪುನಃ ರಚಿಸುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತದೆ.

ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯವಾಗಿ ನಕಾರಾತ್ಮಕವಾಗಿ ನೋಡಲಾಗಿದ್ದರೂ, ಸಂಘರ್ಷವು ಬದಲಾವಣೆಗೆ ವೇಗವರ್ಧಕವಾಗಬಹುದು, ರಚನಾತ್ಮಕವಾಗಿ ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸಿದಾಗ ಸಂಭಾಷಣೆ, ನಾವೀನ್ಯತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಪರಿವರ್ತನೆಗೆ ಪ್ರೇರೇಪಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.
