Artist - art - memory.... Artist - memory - art.... There is an indelible relationship between artist, memory and his/her art. There is much more than the changing moods of creative individuals in a collection of art. While history reports and records numbers, names, events; art in its many forms and mediums, records emotion. It invokes emotions and also provokes thoughts. Memory is actually more than just a personal memory. It can be considered a ‘method’ or ‘an approach’ of remembering the past, for one or for many. Although using art as a vehicle to carry and express memories is existent from time in memorial, every time it is refreshingly different. Art has been enriched with the value and depth
memories add to the narrative, mostly touching the viewer some place deep within, often bringing about unusual responses from them.
Some of the Artist books created here challenged the conventional book format either by becoming sculptural objects or interactive books.
